Yeah I know I skipped February totally, I noticed that you noticed that too. Been busy on this side of the border as always. We are having real winter weather too and with that in mind I decided to post a picture that is more suitable. The last week has been cold, (almost said like hell, but that won't do). It's actually cold like ass, to be honest. Imagine today has been the best so far and it's 40*F or something close. That is almost 8* Celcius, (I am not a maths lover as most of you know so approximation will have to do). So you could imagine how happy I was when it was 12*F last week. At least it didn't snow so bad though. Out here with the weather, you take consolations when you get it.
To add insult to injury (I haven't said that in ages!), there is a flu virus going around. Out here they don't name the flu. If this was back home though, it would have been something like "The Obama". God knows he knocking down real politicians too! People everywhere would have been like: "Boy I geh d Obama, ha meh feelin mash up fuh so." But more of that later. No fancy names like I said though, just flu virus 2008, and it knocking people down all over. Big and small, black and white, no discrimination what-so-ever. I had my fair share for the better part of last week and it still lingering on. Right now I just sick and tired, of being sick and tired.
Anyway people, I'll be in touch as usual and as soon as the Ferrol wear off, I will try and start the next letter to home. For now I sounding like I should be in Caura....yes the hospital, not the river! But listen, still be good please and if you can't be good, then at least be safe and watch your back on Frederick Street!

Just a quick update. I have changed the website layout as you can see. Tried to make it more appealing. Tried is the key word here. Got that picture of Maracas Bay up and I will change it ever so often as the seasons come and go. I was going to put up a Carniavl pic first, but this seems more appropriate as it is freezing on this side of the border. Needed that view as a little bit of comfort though.
I also just posted Letters 8, hope you guys enjoy it. I know that I need to be consistant with the contact I keep and the frequency of these letters. Slowly but surely.

Hello,
so I am nine days late...What can I say, excuses aside it's been a tough three months since my last letter to home. Am I better? Have I ever been anything else. But I am here again and while I have no New Year Resolutions, I really do intend to keep better contact. I am almost done with my next letter to home, but in the mean time I will be making constant updates to the site. So if ever you can't get me because of your phone service provider, just log in here and see what I'm up too, on this side of the border.
Other than that thanks to all the calls and text messages over the holiday season and in the cases where I did not respond, it was because of technical difficulties and nothing else. You know how it works during peak holiday times with calls. Can't wait for the day when a million cells would all be able to work at once in Trinidad!
A sincere Happy New Year to you all and this should be the year that you stop following your dreams, but take a hold of it!
