The truth begins...

Book Summary

In Trinidad, the 90’s was a time when hundreds of people were either murdered or went missing. Or both.

There were many stories of corruption by business and government officials alike and on many levels. Both groups were believed to be involved directly and in-directly in many crimes and were the main profiteers from the lucrative gun and drug trade. A business kept alive by good connections and bloodthirsty South American alliances.

These stories has raised some concerns and some eyebrows from many people. The ones that were brave, (or foolish enough) to raise questions however, were met with a simple fate: Murdered. Missing. Or both.

The average citizen in this country, unaware of what goes on behind closed doors, in the still of the night, have read a lot of stories about rampant crime and mayhem from afar. There were many speculations and even though conspiracy theories varied, one thing has always been true: the dead, like the missing told no tales.

Until now.

One Sunday in December Edward Daniels un-wittingly stumbled upon a suspicious affair on a North-Coast beach. What happened, after those involved that he could identify discovered him, was a battle of survival. For the weeks that followed, the men that he saw were determined to silence him with his story forever, no matter the cost. Daniels though was just as willing to stay alive against the odds, the lies, and the betrayals.

He quickly learns that the deception runs far deeper than he first believed and there seems to be no one that could help him with his secrets, or his life. Also uncovered is the involvement of men with far reaching power, and a plot more sinister than anyone would ever imagine.

Even now Daniels is still sure that his death is coming. Soon. And he doubts that he is ready. What he knows though with some certainty, is that the events from that Sunday evening to this moment in time will forever change him.

And you.

The truth begins now. When it ends however, is another matter.
