Kirk .A. Inniss was born November 2nd, 1977 in Trinidad, West Indies. He attended Arima Government Secondary and Arima Senior Comprehensive from 1989 to 1997. After attaining six O'Levels subjects, Kirk decided to curtail his A'Level studies in Literature and Sociology and started work full time in the fast food industry. It was a decision that many thought to be ill-advised, as such action took him way off course of fulfilling his dreams to write the stories that haunts him and teach the Literature that he loves.
Life though, is never as staright forward as we would like. He spent five years working for Subway Restaurants and one can safely say that he never regretted such action. During that time Kirk kept working on his stories, quietly pouring them from his soul, in small amounts, whenever the time allowed. He also met many people, with many compelling and sometimes complexing lives. But most importantly he learnt that we are still all the same under our skin, trying so hard to find the happiness that we all deserve.
Kirk left Trinidad for New York, in the pursuit of many dreams and he chases them now, without regrets as always. In May 2007, a year and a half after he left, his first book "The Black Butterflies" was published. That was done because he dared to not only dream, but to believe. "I am no different from you, or any better to be honest." He once admitted.
